10 Feb 2016:  KIRKOPHANY - The New Ceilidh Band with Five Kirkpatricks!
Following the sad demise of the much loved MR GUBBINS' BICYCLE, it is with the greatest delight that I can now announce a new five-piece band playing for English Country Dancing - KIRKOPHANY.

Amongst those appearing are John Kirkpatrick and his four sons.
John - Calling the dances, button accordion, anglo concertina.
Jobie - bass guitar
Benji - guitars, bouzouki, banjo, mandolin
George - melodeons, selected percussion
Fergus - drums

After hectic rehearsals, the combo is now ready to unleash itself onto the dancing fraternity.
Five Kirkpatricks, five Shropshire Bedlams - you have been warned!

Following Sally's sudden death last year, and Martin Britnell's problems with his health, I must officially announce that our ceilidh band - Mr Gubbins' Bicycle - will not play again.

Plans are afoot for a new family based dance band, which will include some former members of Mr Gubbins, and, er, one or two other people. While negotiations are still being conducted at the highest level, it is impossible, for various legal reasons, to reveal any more than these bare details at this stage.
