16 Jan 2013:  WEATHER ALERT!
The weather forecast for this coming Friday is rather alarming. It may be too bad for my gig at Huntingdon Hall in Worcester to take place. If you are thinking of going there on Friday, please check with the venue before setting out. Fingers crossed!

25 Sep 2012:  NEW CD OF SHROPSHIRE FOLK MUSIC AVAILABLE SOON
Having lived in Shropshire for thirty-nine years, and having always included a certain amount of musical material from the county given half a chance, I am proud to announce that I have now completed a whole CD of Shropshire music for Fledg'ling Records. "EVERY MORTAL PLACE" should be available by the end of October, with any luck, although the official release date will be much later than that.

There are eleven songs and four instrumental tracks, executed by the usual team of JK on voice and numerous squeezeboxes, with Sally Kirkpatrick adding chorus and harmony vocals on a few songs. The project was recorded in July at Oliver Knight's studio in Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire.

Watch this page for more details of the CD's release.

14 May 2012:  YES - IT'S TRUE! "GIG HISTORY" IS NOW UP TO DATE!
It's only taken the ten years or so since this website burst into life, but finally the hitherto mythical section covering "GIG HISTORY" now has something you can go and look at. You might need to take a nice cup of tea with you when you start investigating the vastness of the treasures revealed here, as it gives masses of information covering over fifty years of music making. This now takes you up to the end of 2011.

Not only that, but the "SPECIAL PROJECTS" section is also completely up to date, after having been stuck at the year 2000 for a long time. This covers stuff I've done in the theatre, in film, on radio and TV, and in random other settings as well.

And, as if that weren't enough, the "DISCOGRAPHY" section is bang up to date as well.

If any fans out there spot any mistakes or ommissions, please do get in touch and let me know. Thank you!
