31 Jan 2013:  BRASS MONKEY - "THE BEST OF LIVE"
The live CD / DVD of the revitalised six-piece Brass Monkey, that was recorded in April last year, will be released in a few weeks by Park Records. The London launch event is on Sunday March 10th at King's Place (details in "Forthcoming Gigs"), with a probable warm up concert Saturday 9th at Lansdown Hall in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

The two-disc package - "Brass Monkey - The Best of Live - Thirtieth Anniversary Celebration" - will be available to buy from this website very soon - keep your eyes peeled!

18 Jan 2013:  WORCESTER GIG POSTPONED
As anticipated, the gig at Huntingdon Hall tonight - Friday January 18th - has been snowed off. Tickets anybody had for this evening will be valid for the replacement date - THURSDAY FEBRUARY 21st. Please phone the box office - 01905 611427 - to confirm, but not until after mid-day today while they try to ring round ticket holders.

The weather forecast for this coming Friday is rather alarming. It may be too bad for my gig at Huntingdon Hall in Worcester to take place. If you are thinking of going there on Friday, please check with the venue before setting out. Fingers crossed!

The CD is sung and played by JK, with Sally Kirkpatrick adding chorus and harmony vocals on five songs. There are full notes giving background to all the tracks, a beautiful sleeve design by David Suff, and a breathtaking note of appreciation from no less a personage than Shirley Collins, President of The English Folk Dance & Song Society.
