BRUNEL CD UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Folk South West are in the process of recording some of the material they have been working with during the year in celebration of the two hundredth anniversary of the birth of Isambard Kingdom Brunel. "In The Footsteps Of The Little Giant" has employed the services of a whole team of folkies going into schools and community music days all over the South West.

Forthcoming tracks by JK -"A Bright String of Pearls" and "What a builder of bridges!" - both specially composed for this project, the traditional song "The Launch of the SS Great Britain", and two tracks of traditional tunes - "The Railway" and "The Steamboat Quickstep" on the two-row melodeon, and "The Telegraph Post" and "The Great Eastern Polka" arranged for concertina band.
